An opera on the subject of America's love affair with oil
— Libretto by Ben Kingsland
— One act (~75 mins) alternating between dance sequences (with America and Oil as two dancers) and operatic scenes (set in different periods from recent history)
— Eight vocalists (each playing many roles) and chamber orchestra
— Timeline: March 2012 - libretto is completed • May 2012 - sneak preview of three scenes is recorded
— April 2013 - opera will be produced in Bloomington, IN
