Oct 2010 - Chappell has completed an electronic piece entitled Fracked, based on an article by Sandra Steingraber in Orion magazine.
Sept 2010 - Gravitation: Orbits for amplified bass flute & piano has been selected for performance at the Midwest Composers Symposium in Cincinnati on Oct 23.
Aug 2010 - Chappell and his brother, playwright/actor Ben Kingsland, have begun to collaborate on an opera about the disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
July 2010 - Chappell has begun his Doctorate in Composition at Indiana University.
Chappell's first one-act opera, Confessions of a Murderess, will be premiered on August 7.
